NAF Presidential Election

The NAF presidential election is currently in progress. As the information on the Q&A for the candidates can be a bit difficult to follow, I thought I would do a summary of the candidates positions as well as giving you information on what the role is as well as how and when you can vote. Please note, the Q&A is still running so there may be a few more points raised than what I have included here. What is the role? The NAF charter defines the role as an elected position which does the following: -           -  Directs NAF strategy and planning - Chairs meetings - Serves as liaison between members and officers - Serves as liaison between outside organization and NAF - Fulfills duties of other officers if absent from meetings or events - Reviews regular reports from other officers and offers direction - Sets meeting agenda items Who is the current president? Nate Beem, also known as Gaixo, from the United States has held the role for 10 years but has decided not to stan

Nufflenomics: The Weather Mage

I have taken the Weather Mage once before in a league game where my goblins were taking on a norse team. I managed to turn the weather from raining to nice, making it more likely I could do a pickup, hand-off and throw teammate with my to win the game. What happened is I that failed anyway, and it left my opponent a chance to more easily dance in and pick up the ball which they did, allowing them to turn a draw into a victory. It struck me then as a pretty rubbish inducement, so I thought I’d investigate the numbers. What does it do? On top of this you can apply a -1, -2, +1 or +2 modifier as you desire to attempt to affect the weather. A weather mage is picked during the inducement phase of a league match, or at roster creating in a tournament, such as E

Superbowl was scheduled for this past Saturday at Rule Zero in London. Unfortunately, a message from Tournament Organisers loynster the night before around 6pm suggested that it might not be going ahead due to flooding at the venue. Amazingly a venue was sourced at short notice - the Hackney Brewery & High Hill Taproom. Although the start time was slightly later, the venue a bit chilly and loynster's stress levels probably a bit higher, the day went smoothly all things considered. I was taking humans as I'd recently finished painting them and I'm trying to get tournament games in with all the races (partly to encourage myself to get them painted). The tournament was using the rules for NAFC and I went for a block ogre, four blitzers (2 guard, 1 frenzy and 1 tackle), two catchers (1 wrestle, 1 sidestep), four linemen, two halflings and four re-rolls. The only time I'd used humans on tabletop was when I had taken an all linemen and ogre team when teaching the game to
