This is an update on all time SKABB League stats! To read previous iterations, there is one for the past three seasons:
Seasons 1-8
Seasons 1-9
Season 1-10
We have now had a total of 58 coaches compete across our 11 seasons.
Games Played
Across 11 seasons, a total of 1,021 games have been played. There has been a total of 2,812 touchdowns (an average of 2.75 per game) and 3,633 casualties (an average of 3.56 per game).
Only 2 coaches have played over 100 games - Stew and Oli - which is due to the fact that they are the only coaches to have played every season. It is likely that Matt will hit that milestone in Season 12.
18 coaches have now played 5 or more seasons, with Alex and James joining the list since last season.
TouchdownsThe most touchdowns in a game has been beaten in season 11, with Stew's vampires scoring an 8-0 victory over Craig's dwarfs. This is also, unsurprisingly the most TD scored by a single team in a game.
7 touchdowns in a game has occurred 5 times:
Season 1: Oli's Skaven v Kias's humans (5-2)
Season 1: Pete G's slann v Kias's humans (4-3)
Season 2: Stew's elf union v Paul Brook's skaven (4-3)
Season 9: David Macey's skaven v Oli's slann (4-3)
Season 10: Tim's elf union v Ross's goblins (5-2)
And teams have scored 5+ touchdowns a total of 24 times. Those who have achieved it at
6 - Oli
3 - Stew A
2 - Marc, Dan, Pete A, Matt M
1 - Tim, Matt Ashley, Wes, Ron, Iain, David M, Simon
In the all time most touchdowns chart, Stew has become the first to hit 200, with the vampires scoring a whopping 35 touchdowns this season. Oli is in second place just shy of the 200 mark. Craig should hit the 100-mark this season, with James also looking like that is a possibility.
In terms of touchdown averages, Elliott was unable to maintain the 1.90 pace of his first season and drops down to 10th overall. Stew enters this chart for the first time/
In Season 11, there was an average of 2.65 touchdowns per game. This is down from 2.82 in Season 10 and is the 9th highest in all of the 11 seasons - so a fairly low scoring season overall. The overall average is 2.75 touchdowns per game.
In terms of average touchdowns by season, unsurprisingly many championship winning teams feature. Oli's Norse team hold the lead for their 3.18 average in Season 2, followed by Stew's vampires that won season 11. The other championship winning team was Marc's season 5 dark elves. The fact that 7 of the rest of the top 10 didn't win the league shows that the game is about more than scoring.
CasualtiesThe most casualties in a game was surpassed this season, and quite significantly when Oli's khorne played James's snotlings in the playoffs and there were 14 casualties in total (8 to Oli, 6 to James). This beats the previous record of 11 which was equalled earlier this season by Matt and Craig, and previously occurred in Season 8 between Craig and Pete, and also in season 9 between the same coaches.
The most casualties by one team in a game is 8. As well as the record breaking game when Oli scored it, Pete's dark elves got 8 against Craig's snotlings in season 9, and Marc's dark elves got it against Stew's halflings in season 5.
There is just 1 casualty in the all time charts, with Oli on 234 one ahead of Stew on 234. One other coach has hit 200 which is Matt. The 10 coaches in the top 10 have all hit 100.
Obviously this is reflective of the number of seasons some coaches have played, so the Average Casualties provides more of a picture of who is the best at smashing. Season 1 champion Luke Sykes maintains top spot, but Joe Cozz and Matt Ashley are his nearest challenges. This season's most casualties winner David E sits at 6th place.
This season David averaged 3.11 casualties per game. Whilst Matt actually scored a higher average, David got more in the league season which is where you win the award. Both of them fell short of Iain's 3.50 average in the previous season.
Race choices
Orcs remain the most picked race, have been played 14 times. Nurgle and Necromantic Horror enter the top 10 at the expense of Chaos Dwarf and Lizardmen.
Unsurprisingly orcs have the most games played, but goblins are in second place as coaches have played them multiple seasons. Dark elves drop from 2nd to 6th as they have generally been a one season team.
Coaches with the most races played are listed below. Matt and Oli are currently tied for the top spot.
Win percentages
The coaches with the highest win percentages in the league using the NAF style of a draw is half of a win are below. Coaches need to have played 5 or more games to appear in this list. A number of these coaches are no longer playing for various reasons. David E and Elliott both have strong numbers, although it will be interesting to see if these drop now they have been promoted to the top division. Damian remains in the top 10 event after a difficult season 10 with gnomes.
Looking at similar statistics for races, we have the undead teams showing well with Necromantic Horror and Shambling Undead in the top 2 spots, with Tomb Kings in 5th.
Necromantic Horror have are unsurprisingly top with the league having been won three times with the race. No other race has won the league more than once.
When looking at the best coach by race, there are wildly varying percentages between the, with a low 22% win rate being the best for Imperial Nobility, to a whopping 93% for High Elf.
Not many coaches have won multiple prizes. The below chart shows the "Big 3" - the overall championship, the cup and the glass.
Only one coach has achieved the double - of winning the championship and the cup in the same season. This was Marc in Season 7 with his Necromantic Horror team.
Necromantic Horror are by far and away the most successful race having won the championship three times and the cup twice. Black Orc, Chaos Dwarf, Shambling Undead and Skaven have all won the championship and the cup.

History
A bit of SKABB history regarding the naming of the awards:
SKABB Championship This award currently doesn't have an interesting story
Lance Tewgurlswan Cup Named after the legendary Norse star player (that seemingly only Oli has heard of). As the Cup has now been won three times by Damo, he will be retaining the trophy (like the World Cup) and will be able to name the new trophy.
Gobbledigook Glass This was named after the goblin in Tommy's Sevens team who outfouled the entire league.
Hurty Boys Award For Hurtin' Good The most casualties award, named after the first ever winners, Archie's orc team, The Hurty Boyz.
Lance Tewgurlswan Award for Scoring Freely Also named after the aforementioned star player.
Foul Ole Ron Award for Services to Fouling This was named after Ron, nicknamed Foul Ole Ron who enjoyed kicking a player whilst they were down.
Nice Pete Award for Niceness This is the award for Player's Player of the Season, named after Nice Pete (and obviously not The Other Pete, who is actually rather nice despite what Oli says).
Fergus Alexson Award This is the Commissioner's Coach of the year, named after a famous coach from a sport where they don't tend to pick up the ball. Weirdos.
The Wyllie Cup This is a new trophy for the winner of the variant league we play between seasons. Named after league founder Oli Wyllie in honour of his services to the league.
